You Can't Prompt Your Way To An Idea You Haven't Had
Try this on the last 5 AI outputs you got.
Could any other coach in your industry have written the same thing?
If the answer is yes, you already know what came back.
Most people know by now that AI output can be quite bland and generic, but it’s weird to me that the instinct is to blame the model or the artificial intelligence.
And I think that’s why I get so many questions saying should I use ChatGPT or should I use Claude or which particular model of one of those should I use.
And sometimes there is merit in using certain tools for certain things, but only if you’ve actually done the thinking yourself to have put something in to get something genuinely useful back.
Because if you take a tool that has been trained on all of the knowledge that we have and ask it something generic, it’s going to draw on every conflicting approach that it’s ever been trained on
Then it’s going to give you an answer that’s been averaged out that doesn’t really sound like anything or anyone.
So you get an output that is technically correct but is just the middle of everything.
So AI is a force multiplier, not an equaliser.
Force multiplied by more force.
Which is why I’m so bullish on AI being something that’s going to widen the gap for coaches, not bring more coaches closer together or make the market more saturated.
Coaches who are already thinking clearly are just going to pull further ahead because they’re putting better thinking into something that can help supercharge that thinking and then also distribute it more efficiently.
Everything AI gives you is throughput. Volume, speed, tirelessness
All the benefits of those things sit downstream of ideas.
AI multiplies everything after the idea - Nothing before it.
What are you bringing to AI, that nobody else could have brought?
