A Aye Or A Nae

AI is clearly here to stay

And there’s no doubt that AI will be, and already is - a reason why people don’t sign up to work with a coach.

Which is why we see so many serious posts that are something like ‘I’m so much better than AI so if you’re someone who’s serious about their goals then don’t use AI because you won’t get anywhere’

Which is a terrible idea

(It’s also not true - I have a coach and also use AI a lot for my data, and there’s huge benefits to both)

The problem coaches face is this

If you don’t address AI - people don’t join and use ChatGPT for their training, which isn’t ideal

If you address it like the example above, and most of the people we’ve seen so far?

You couldn’t sound more weak, defensive and scared - none of which are positions of strength with marketing, believe it or not.

But as Harvey Specter says - your choice when you have a gun pointing to your head is NOT do what they say or they shoot you

‘You take the gun, or you pull out a bigger one. Or, you call their bluff. Or, you do any one of a hundred and forty six other things’

So here’s what you could do

A reel series called ‘A-Aye, or A-Nae’

You regularly run polls asking people for the weirdest shit that AI has told them to do with health, fitness and nutrition

Or even some stuff it told them to do that IS good advice

You can use Reddit, X or Threads for more to get you going

Then you do ‘reaction videos’ where you rate the advice, and give people the full context, what they need to think about, the evidence vs practice

And how you do things FOR YOUR CLIENTS

You can relate the advice back and crosscheck it against specific unique mechanisms you have

‘This might work for very elite people, but my people are mums who have 35 mins to train at lunch and cook 4 different meals each evening for their fussy families. So instead, we use my 4 step FINE method to get 90% of what AI is telling us, in 6 minutes’

And then you rate whether it’s an A-Aye (Good) or A-Nae (Bad)

Corny? Certainly

Guaranteed to work? Certainly not

But this 2 minute example should highlight to you how your positioning is crucial, how you come across is crucial

And there’s a difference between confidence in what you can achieve with clients, and being a whingebag about things when there’s competition around.

I’m not saying use this at all - but I AM saying to spend some time being genuinely thoughtful and considered around how you position
