Under Pressure

I don’t know if it’s weird to admit this or if anyone else feels like this

But I feel pressure when I write content.

I feel a sort of unease and a tension when it comes to writing content that I’m going to share to my audience.

It almost feels like taking a penalty in a penalty shootout.

You know the odds are in your favour and it’s going to be fine, but there’s a little bit of anxiety there.

I think not enough coaches feel that kind of anxiety.

I think too many coaches post content as just a way to tick the box and say yes, I’ve done this

Even sometimes use the fact they’ve posted anything as a way to moan about the fact that their business isn’t doing well.

‘Oh, I posted content every day this week and I still got absolutely no leads.’

If they were to truly look back at their content, I don’t think they would say that they shared it with any sort of angst or fear

Or doubt as to whether it would be accepted and whether people would find it interesting and engage with it and whether it would change their minds.

I actually think more people feeling that level of anxiety would probably improve the content that they put out.

Content is normally your one chance of the day to interact with your audience.

And if you’re in a business, you really want to make the most of that interaction.

So if you don’t feel slightly nervous about it, particularly if you are trying to build an ideas-based business

(Which in 2025 you absolutely should be)

That’s a problem

Create content that makes you feel a little bit tingly when it comes to actually sharing it with people.
