You Can Talk About Anything

For the past 10 years or so, I’ve been jealous of two men.

Mike Ross from Suits

And Eddie Morra from Limitless.

Mike Ross has a photographic memory

And Eddie had access to a nootropic that gives him perfect recall, and the ability to analyse information at incredible speed.

As someone who is very curious but not half as bright as these men, I always wished I could ‘unlock’ more brain power, that my intelligence was the thing that limited my ability to truly understand things.

But recently, I’ve felt closer to being those two men than ever before

(No I haven’t been given NZT by the brother of my ex-wife)

I’ve just been using AI a LOT.

I know I’m not on my own here - ChatGPT is expecting to hit 1 billion users by the end of the year.

But I think I use it differently to a lot of the people in the industry, in that I use it as a researcher and a sounding board, not as a writer or content creator.

I think people who use it to create and think for them are going to be in big trouble - their ability to think will atrophy, their reasoning and creativity will wither and die.

They’re also giving away their competitive advantage - their experience.

I’ve been in the game a while now, I’ve worked with enough people to know what I’ve seen over and over again, what I believe, how I think the world is designed to help or hurt my clients with their goals.

Now? I’ve got an infinite source of wisdom to bounce MY ideas off, fact check my thoughts and find evidence to support my theories.

I don’t have to just think ‘Hmmm… I see this a lot, I wonder how these factors affect it…’

I can ask Perplexity to find academic articles on the prevalence of emotional eating

In 2 minutes I can have reports on obesity over the past 20 years, GLP-1 use in the past 15 years, Reddit discussions of people sharing their own unique experience with their eating, workplace statistics on burnout.

This allows me to create a unique worldview and case that supports all of the coaching evidence and experience I have.

If you spent some time doing this - it would totally transform your content, your ability to convey your expertise and credibility, and will make you 10000x more interesting than the 97% of the industry using ChatGPT to write another post about how they can eat their favourite food and still lose weight.
